We were told this was a great local place to try. There was a stop across the street to take pictures of the lake, the view was spectacular. We stopped to get dinner. We were told to grab a seat once we got inside, we went to the back porch. We were beside a large group who had 2 people attending them. Our group sat at the table for 15 minutes before anyone came by to drop off menus. We then waited and watched the other table get service beside us, food and drinks etc... We were being ignored the whole entire time. We tried to get their attention, but it was as if no one even wanted to look our way. We waited another 15 minutes or so and decided to just leave. No one even acknowledged us then either. I was completely disgusted with the service.
For being one of few places along lake to stop, its clean and service was good, apps were fine. We just stopped for HH and to check out the views from scenic lookout across the road. If this place was on the lake they'd have twice the business!
RV camping nearby, stopped for supper. Wife & I had the Crab Cake dinner which was one of the nights specials. Best crab cakes we've had in a long time, I couldn't see what was used as "binder" to hold the crab meat together. Service was quick and friendly. Lots of locals eating.
I really liked this place; it had a great local feel. The service was relaxed and friendly, but far from fast. They forgot to hand out our food so our burgers cooled and our onion rings weren't hot. However, the food was great otherwise. The hot wings had a nice, strong kick and the burgers were smoky. Onions rings had a lot of breading though.
Always met by a friendly face, the service is awesome & the food is phenomenal. I usually stop in for food two-three times a week. They never disappoint! Highly recommended.
